HAPPY BOXING DAY TO ALL!

X'mas day is a pretty boring day for me since ALL the shops/cafe/restaurants and even supermarkets are closed. No where to go except to stay home lazing away. On the other hand, I must say that I love Boxing day alot. It's the time whereby you will probably find a big hole in your pocket as sales are going on in every single shop. Stores opening as early as 5am and closes @ 12 midnight today. How I wish everyday would be like this!

It's also my first time to see the streets in city much more crowded than usual. Be it with family or friends. Everyone is doing the same thing (i.e. SHOPPINGGG SPREEE!!!) including me myself. :P I can't believe I actually went out for more than 12 hours with my friend in melbourne. Waking up @ 8am to meet up with my friend for shopping.

Beautiful X'mas tree @ Crown.
Klinsky & Witsel unwrapping their X'mas gift @ 12mn
There you go.. enjoying their X'mas treat
GIGANTIC DOG BONE!
(p.s one of my friend asked me if I had kill a Dino to get this bone)

Fruit cake for X'mas

Came across this interesting Cyclist @ SouthBank.
I think he's pretty amazing.

Exploring Williamtown.....

Below are just some random pictures & sceneries.

I'm so tired. Had a swim at Phrahran yesterday then walked over to phrahran market to stock up some meat for the week. Ended up buying 3.5kg of meat for the week since most of the markets/shops/cafe are closed during the long christmas holiday. It was so heavy and I got to carry all the way back home :(

HOT HOT HOT!!!!
The weather is so hot today, totally unbearable. The temperature for the day is kept at 36 degree celsius. When the wind blows, it was HOT AIR!!!! My body seem to be dehydrating.

Meet up with Cynthia at Bentleigh today. From the internet, it states that bentleigh had a shopping centre. Both Cynthia and I agree to meet at Bentleigh shopping centre since we are going there from home. I think majority of us will picture a shopping centre as a building with a few storey high and air-conditioned. The moment I reached Bentleigh, I kept searching for a building. I walked the whole stretch of Centre Rd and didn't manage to spot any building. I then decided to ask shop owner if she knows if there's any bentleigh shopping centre nearby? The lady was nice enough to tell me "I'm afraid that there isn't any shopping centre here but I think the shopping centre you're referring to is this whole stretch of centre road lol..." Ohh... That was the so called 'shopping centre' from the internet. LOL!

Anyway, that area got nothing much to explore except that things are much cheaper there especially sushi!!!! All sushi handrolls selling @ AUD1.30 compare to usual price @ AUD2.50. Most importantly, my favourite smoked salmon handroll costs only $1.30! Damn hell cheap!!
Now, I know where I can get super cheap sushi already:) hahaha. I did my second round of marketing today at Bentleigh & bought vegetables, popcorn and chocolates :P

Yesterday was my first time to clean and process a squid. It was pretty disgusting though. However, still got to thanks you-tube for the help which makes my job easier and I manage to get it done successfully! :) YAY!

Watched Avatar (3D) at Jam Factory yesterday. The graphics and stuff is good. I must say it's a worth watching show despite it being 161 minutes.

Realising that there are actually quite alot of my "1st time" that took place over here. Even me myself is also unbelievable as this is totally so NOT me.

1) To borrow books from school library for study purposes

2) To do household chores

3) To cook

4) Bake blueberry muffin

5) Make Chocolate chip cookie

6) Visits to the Border, have a sip of coffeee while reading magazines & books

7) Find out where is the nearest swimming pool in my area alone.

The list shall goes on and on...

I think there is so many things I need to learn from my friends. Learning how to be a confident and independent person...

Lunch with Cynthia & Kenneth at Camberwell today. We ordered 2 plates of pasta to share. I think it's the cream that makes us so full. Accompanied Cynthia to Boxhill to meet her Aussie homestay mum for a coffee. Pretty friendly and nice people. Had a short chat with them and after which they left and the three of us just roam around boxhill since most of the shops are already closed :( Can't they close their shop slightly later??

We then made our way home around 6pm and decided to meet up next week and explore other area together :)

Yup, New year is approaching. It is going to be my first time to spend christmas and the new year in melbourne. Still trying to do some research about the places or any event that me and friends can attend. hehe. During this kind of festive period, I will meet up with my dearie gals for countdown or a movie :) I miss them!!!!!

Headed to St Kilda Farmer Market at Peanut Reserve Farm in the morning. It's a market held on every Saturday whereby all the people from different areas will drive all the way to sell their fresh products which include fruits, vegetables, cheese, mushroom, meat & poultry stuff etc. Their products are always so fresh as compare to the products sold at the Supermarket.

Stock up our fridge, we bought quite alot of stuffs. We bought mushroom, fresh cream, some vegetables and a shocking amount of 3kg of cherries (since now is the cherry, strawberry, blueberry season).

Standard "Egg & Bacon Sandwich" breakkie over at farmer market and followed by a freshly squeezed orange juice. Totally satisfied with it:) It is also the first time for Little Witsel boy to meet his other new friends at the market.

We also made our way to the Scandinavian X'mas Fair at Toorak Rd in the afternoon. Toorak Rd is known as melbourne richest suburb. It is well-known that the houses in the area are really huge, nice & classy. The houses in my current suburb is big but the houses in Toorak is much much much bigger.

Unique houses can be found as people are so wealthy that they actually design & build their own house. For every houses I have walked past, it seem to have a different theme. Me being such a KPO, I peeped into those houses that I walked past. There is a house that made their own pavement and walkway outside their door gate, one house decorate the road to their garage using white pebbles and guess what I saw in the garage?? A porsche. There is also a fountain in the house garden, automatic sprinkle water in the garden, glassy window with long tables etc. It sounds like what I usually see it on tv - those princess living in the castle. hahaha.

It likes u can park 5 cars inside your house gate! Damn big can!!Even the trees, plants, grass are all well-maintained in the area. The post letter box is also shiny and classic as I made a comparison with the post box in my area. Perhaps, they do hire people to wipe the post box every day that explain why it's so shiny?? :P You never know, since it's the super high-end area. Totally enjoyed looking at the pretty houses in melbourne. I'm loving it:)
